Create a new project

You will of course want to create your own WikiWriter site, with your very own files. Here's how:

1. Open WikiWriter. If it's already open, move this Help window to the side, so you can work in WikiWriter while following the instructions here.
2. Select Project on the WikiWriter menu bar, then select New.
3. A message box comes up to explain how to name your new project -- all lower case, with no space. You could use a plus sign for a space, but it's better to do without punctuation. Your project name will become a directory name, a sub-directory of the current project. Make sure you are starting from where you want to be when you create a new project. If you make a mistake or wish to have the project in a different location, you can always move the directory later.
4. The Home page for the new project will come up, with the "new project" notice:
