Webify Export Project to HTML
- Convert an WikiWriter project to HTML pages by selecting the Tools on the menu bar, then selecting Project to HTML.
- The HTML files will be converted and placed in the same directory as the project's .db page files.
- Use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to view the directory as a detail list.
- Click on Type in the display's header bar to sort the contents by file type. Then select all the HTML files, and copy or move them off to your development directory if you want to work outside the project directory. Remember to copy any graphics directories and files, too.
- Upload the HTML files to your web site.
WikiWriter creates a Home.htm file and an index.htm file from the project Home page. This extra feature, the index.htm file, is for web sites that need an index.* file of some sort in a directory for a default file. If you need index.htm, upload it and Home.htm as well, because internal project links to Home all got to Home.htm after webification. If your site directories all have their own index.htm files, just upload Home.htm by itself so you don't overwrite your default file with the new index.htm.
